REGISTRATION
Competitors must register at the SGU championship office at least 45 minutes prior to their tee-time.

CLUBHOUSE AND CATERING
Competitors and their families may use the clubhouse facilities. The dress code is smart casual no jeans or trainers. Shoes worn on the golf course may not be worn in the clubhouse.

All competitors will be issued with a snack voucher at the conclusion of their round. All catering outwith that provided by the SGU will be at the competitors or guests own expense.

FORMAT
The event is an 18 hole stableford competition with full handicap allowance, up to a maximum of 28 for boys and 36 for girls. Points are awarded in relation to par at each hole as follows.

Nett score for hole Points
More than one over par or no score returned 0
One over par 1
Par 2
One under par 3
Two under par 4
Three under par 5

TEES
Boys will play be from the yellow tees and girls from the red tees.

RULES
The event will be played under the R&A rules of golf and the local rules of the golf club, although these are subject to change by the SGU.

CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted. Parents may walk with the game but may not carry the bag, tend pins, rake bunkers or offer advice or interact with the game in any way. Anybody breaching this condition may be disqualified from the event.

Decisions & Ties

In the event of a tie the final standings will be decided by the following countback procedure;

The best stableford score on holes 10-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score on holes 13-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score on holes 16-18 and if still a tie
Match play on the best stableford score on the card, hole by hole from the 1st hole.

PRESENTATION
Prizes are awarded to the top 3 boys and girls on the day. All prize winners are expected to attend the prize giving ceremony.

SCORECARDS
Scorecards must be returned to the registration area immediately after play.

Edinburgh Airport to Renaissance Club
Leave airport following signs for Edinburgh, after 3 roundabouts and 0.86 miles merge onto the A8.(signposted Edinburgh). Travel 1.5 miles along A8
At The Gogar junction branch left (signposted City Bypass) then at Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto The City of Edinburgh Bypass A720 (signposted Berwick upon Tweed). Stay on A720 for 11 miles
At Sherriffhall roundabout take 3rd exit onto the City of Edinburgh Bypass A720
(signposted Berwick upon Tweed).
At next roundabout take the 3rd exit and merge onto the A1 (signposted Berwick upon Tweed).
Continue on A1 for 4.7 miles and at Bankton junction branch left (signposted North Berwick), then at roundabout take 2nd exit onto A198 (signposted North Berwick).
After half mile take 3rd exit at next roundabout (signposted North Berwick).
Continue on A198 3 miles through Longniddry. At roundabout take 2nd exit B1377
(signposted Drem) and continue for 5 miles.
Pass through Drem staying on B1377, after 2 miles turn left at T-junction onto A198.
Renaissance Club is first turn on right.

Approaching Renaissance Club from the South
From the A1, follow the A1 North (signposted Edinburgh) to the Abbotsview Junction (signposted Haddington). Branch left here.
At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A199 (signposted Aberlady A6137).
At next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A6137 (signposted Aberlady).
After 3 miles at roundabout take 2nd exit onto the A6137 (signposted Aberlady).
Bear left and then bear right with the A6137 and continue forward into Aberlady.
Turn right into The Wynd A198 (signposted North Berwick).
Continue in the A198 for 2.5 miles through Gullane.
Continue on the A198 after you leave Gullane and after a mile you will see turning to Renaissance Club on the left.
